I think it's been about 4 years (More about the history of the site here.) since ReadtheIngredients.com had anything more meaningful on it than a "coming soon", "on hiatus", or "work in progress" message.  Now its back with a new look and a new purpose. The new look is very simple and although the underlying purpose will remain the same (public sandbox mostly), the look may evolve and features will get added over time.

ReadtheIngredients.com is also the home base for Lemoie Consulting. This a sole proprietorship offering software & web services that I began in August (09) after resigning from the VP of Technology position at InsureMyTrip.com. IMT became an important part of my life in the 5+ years I was there. It was great to play an instrumental role in not only the technological evolution but also in the overall growth & success of the company.

I have always been of the ilk that believes that change and risk are good. My goals this year include collaborating with clients to produce outstanding web work while tying up some of my personal educational goals and perhaps pursuing some start-up ideas. In the meantime, I look forward to being out in the world more, attending conferences and meeting more people in and outside my field.

I'm amped because there are so many things I want to do. It was difficult to make the decision to leave my role at IMT but it opened up a whole world of possibility.
